Who We Are

Navix is a modern Software-as-a-Service platform streamlining document retrieval and freight auditing. We enable third-party logistics companies and freight brokers to automate their processes at scale, increasing their cash conversion cycle and revealing better insights into their freight spend and discrepancies. We create greater profitability through our highly configurable automation triggers, AI document processing and analysis, API-first approach for seamless integrations, and white-glove auditing services.

About Your Role

Our team is looking to add an experienced software developer to our Engineering Team. You will have a great deal of autonomy and ownership contributing to our product, which powers the country’s largest logistics companies. We are interested in your ideas and innovation, and value developers who embrace ownership over order-takers. If you’ve got experience at a startup or have an “I will figure this out” mindset, this might be the ideal role for you.

What You’ll Do

  • Software Development
    • Develop and maintain software applications based on written and communicated documentation from team leadership and product organization.
    • Work with AI coding tools to write and maintain efficient and readable code.
    • Assist in troubleshooting, debugging, and resolving defects in the application.
    • Build integrations to legacy (i.e., ugly) software systems.
    • Embrace short cycle CI/CD, using GitHub and GitHub Actions, and fixing problems quickly in production. (Yeah, we literally do test in production.)
  • Collaboration and Communication
    • Work closely with the software development team, product managers, customers, and other stakeholders.
    • Actively participate in team meetings, code reviews, and design discussions.
    • Provide regular updates on task progress, challenges, and solutions.
  • Documentation & Quality Assurance
    • Write and review architectural designs and implementation plans.
    • Develop technical documentation for software applications as a part of the refinement planning process.
    • Participate in the testing phase of software development to ensure quality and functionality.
    • Assist in identifying and rectifying software performance issues.
  • Continuous Learning & Growth
    • Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
    • Actively seek feedback to improve personal development and coding skills.

What You’ll Bring

  • At least 7 years of software development experience, ideally using our tech stack:
    • C#/.NET 8
    • Azure (SQL Database, Cosmos DB, Service Bus, Storage)
    • Angular
  • Experience working in a B2B SaaS or startup environment.
  • Experience with Claude Code (or similar AI tooling), and a systematic approach to integrating AI into your workflow.
  • Willingness to embrace a remote working environment and asynchronous, document driven communication.
  • Understanding of software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum).
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, and a desire to use data to drive your decisions.
  • Autonomy and an ownership mindset – we’ll help you, but we want you to help us too.
  • Proficiency in English in both written and verbal communication skills.

What We Value

We believe that the best software is software that is in use, in production.  We optimize business value and impact.  We believe that the best code is simple for humans to read. We work with a sense of urgency, think about how our application works as a whole, and advocate for improvements.  Our core values are:

  • Empathy: work with our users and each other in mind
  • Pragmatism: plan and work in iterations and design for change
  • Ownership: ensuring we deliver quality software to our customers

How You Work

  • You thrive in a fast-paced environment, where you prioritize quickly and leverage resources within the organization.
  • You’re comfortable using AI solutions and tooling whenever possible, whether for coding, documentation, or analysis.
  • You are intrinsically motivated to educate yourself on the latest industry trends and market research, positioning yourself as our customer’s go-to person and subject matter expert.
  • Maybe you work on a Mac, maybe a PC, maybe something else – we’ll make sure you have the tools you need to work comfortably.
  • You’ll be expected to join our on-call rotation to handle rare off-hours engineering emergencies.

How We Work

  • We work sane, sustainable, and flexible working hours.  Our core hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 – 5:00 pm CT with many different start and end times for each employee and time zone.
  • We are consistently building, refining, and automating processes to aid our work; we encourage each team member to propose and adopt new technologies, frameworks, and processes that make us more effective as an organization.
  • You are empowered to choose the environment that maximizes your happiness, engagement, and ability to reach our shared goals.
  • We are a remote-based company with some employees choosing to work near or in corporate or shared office spaces.
  • We provide comprehensive benefits such as Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k + match, Life & Disability Insurance to reward and support our employees. Medical insurance premiums are 100% covered for our employees.
  • We offer 20-days of PTO and have a genuine, supportive culture around work-life balance and boundaries.
  • We organize in-person employee retreats throughout the year to foster community, culture and our commitment to strong team dynamics and organizational alignment on our strategic initiatives.
